Projektbeschrieb

Most Images of skateboarding are aggressive and intense, because for a large part, thats what skateboarding is. During the time that I traveled throughout Switzerland with a crew of skateboarders from Zug, I increasingly realized that the aggressive intensity which was initially the most apparent aspect to me, was also complimented by extremely calm, concentrated and introspective moments both on and off the board. The longer I photographed the crew, the softer, or perhaps more feminine the images which i was creating became, reflecting an often overlooked side of skateboarding which I was beginning to see. This project my have started out as a quest to capture as many backside feebles, kick flips and ollie nose manuals as possible, but it has evolved to capturing nuances of skateboarding I hadn't expected to. I am confident that my Images will keep evolving as I accompany more skateboarders throughout the future, and look forward to seeing what else I can discover in this genre of photography.
