Down by the Ganges
Projektbeschrieb
The ethereal fragments of a destitute daily life recount and follow each other, they appear and disappear. Time is frozen behind the eyes of veiled women, it dissipates on phantom boats and wandering bodies. They become the testimonies of lives lost in the humility of the ordinary.
DOWN BY THE GANGES collects nameless stories. The photographic gaze is devoid of every ideology and social denunciation. It aims to observe in silence, to sneak up stolen moments, without desecrating the dreary harmony of the atmospheres captured in black and white.
The aesthetic research of the photographer develops along the banks of the sacred river. He crystallizes each image with a childish candor without judgment or bias. Thereby, he plunges the viewer into the discovery and the staging of a personal experience, which he always address with the same reticence and modesty.
