Projektbeschrieb

The series 'interpretations16' was shown as part of a group exhibition with Galerie Monika Werthheimer at Photobastei2 in 2016. The work comprises of 16 Polaroids depicting 16 images, interpretations, of themes within our world today, ranging from vanity, consumption, addiction to environmental issues. The idea stemmed from a desire to express such themes in a staged, manipulated context, a building of 'models, stages' to engage the viewer with such themes in a micro-cosmos. They are little anecdotes which speak of an absurd reality, which however, or more so, aim to enhance a sense of fragility with in our world. The shots were specifically shot on Polaroid Round frame film to enhance a sense of placing the subject under a microscope, looking into the subject.
