I created a visual hymn for all the boys who feel a bit out of place in their daily life as a man.
Inspired by Placebo’s lyrics of the 1996 song "Nancy Boy" and by my experiences diving into the playful and progressive vibes of London, I chose to play with gender identities.
What characteristic identifies a person as a male?
And why is there a need to choose any role anyway?
I want to set a stage where my model feels comfortable showing off how he really defines himself.
London based leatherwork pioneer Úna Burke, who has been featured by the Hunger Games series, and her designs perfectly amplify my message.
