Bukreev Dmitry

I draw my inspiration on past Russian works of art, to deconstract, update and refine them. The project «Performa» is based on a childhood dream to become a dancer. It is inspired by the ballet «La Chatte» created by Russian Constructivist sculptor Naum Gabo for the Russian Ballets of Diaghilev. This project is my personal reflection about the spirit and the form of this avant-garde work. Costumes created in collaboration with designer Magda Brozda, light, decor constructed in the form of still lifes and movements get to link and create an imaginary performance, exalting Gabo's Constructivism.
