Projektbeschrieb

A commissioned work, following the coming man – Gerhard Pfister - the only candidate to head the CVP/PDC centre right party.
Working with a journalist, we followed him - went with him - on a winter Sunday of local elections in Zug, between the parliament, his home, his school, and his party's election celebrations – in his world. The question for the journalist was clear: who really was this enigmatic man, and would he take the party further to the right, in line with his avowed political positions – and so they had long discussions fencing around in Swiss-German, which I do not speak. This left me free to observe, working, as requested in black and white, using a film noir style, that I had previously used for another - non-political but still secretive - issue.
A few days after that Sunday, his rise was confirmed, and the piece was published when he took up his post. The coming man had been crowned.
